Teaching
Teaching cutting-edge business economics courses is an important part of the mission of the Economics Group. Our MBA courses provide students with important up-to-date knowledge of the markets and market mechanisms, strategic behavior in markets, global business environment, the effect of macroeconomic policies on business, etc.
The members of the group have won a number of awards for excellence in teaching.
Professor James Anton has received Outstanding Professor Awards in 2003 (Global Executive MBA Program) and 2001 (Global Executive MBA Program). He has also been named Finalist for DaimlerChrysler Award for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching, May 2006, for Outstanding Professor Award, Global Executive MBA Program, Class of 2002, as well as for Outstanding Professor Award, Global Executive MBA Program, Class of 2000. Professor Anton has also received an Excellence in Teaching Award Honorable Mention, Evening Executive MBA, Class of 1993.
Professor Sergei Severinov has received Excellence in Teaching Award in 2006 (Cross-Continent Executive MBA Program).
Professor Nikolas Vettas has received DaimlerChrysler Award for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching in 2002. Has has also been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Teaching in 1998 and 2001.
