Background
On July 1st 2002, Prof. Arie Y. Lewin assumed the Editor-in-Chief position of JIBS with Danielle Trojan as the Managing Editor. Under Prof. Lewin, the entire JIBS editorial structure was reorganized to better reflect the diverse range of topics that define IB. In addition, an on-line submission system was developed to increase accessibility for reviewers and editors; reduce paperwork and manual labor involved in manuscript processing; and most importantly shorten the turnaround time.

JIBS Annual Conferences
Following the highly acclaimed first annual JIBS/AIB Conference on Emerging Research Frontiers in International Business at Duke, plans are underway for second conference. The conference encourages open exploration of emerging research ideas; facilitates open discourse; redirects or shuts down outmoded themes; builds a community of international research scholars across both the social sciences and the functional areas of international business; and explores and identifies themes for future special issues.
