Professor Pekec is an expert on design and analysis of choice, allocation and pricing mechanisms in complex competitive environments. His recent work has focused on multiple object auction design, combinatorial auctions, efficient methods for subset choice and bundle valuations, preference elicitation and information aggregation, and has combined methods from operations research (discrete optimization), computer science (algorithms and complexity) and economics (auction theory).
