Saving a File

To save a workbook use the commands File, Save to get the dialog box that lets you name your file and specify what drive and in what folder it should be saved.

The Save as type entry at the bottom of the dialog box lets you translate your file into other formats (123, text, DBase, etc.)

Retrieving a File

To retrieve a workbook you've saved on disk use the commands File, Open . Excel displays a dialog box similar to the Open dialog described above. In this dialog you can name the file to open and specify where its location. Use Windows Explorer Tools, Find, Files or Folders to find a file whose location you've forgotten.
