Prof. Ravi Bansal is J.B. Fuqua Professor of Finance at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and Research Associate, NBER. He earned his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1990. 

 

Prof. Bansal is a leader in Financial Economics. His research interests are Asset Pricing, Macroeconomics, Climate Change, and Econometrics.  He has published in leading journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Econometrics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of International Economics, and Review of Economic Studies, among others. His pioneering work on Long Run Risks was cited and discussed in the scientific background article for the 2013 Nobel memorial prize in Economics. Many of his students have placed at leading academic institutions and in the risk management industry. He teaches Asset Pricing, Macroeconomics, and Investments.
